A return to the past or “transformative resilience” for Logistics? ” This is the question at the heart of Green Logistics Intermodal Forum, scheduled at Fiera di Padova on Thursday November 12. An appointment that marks the continuation of a journey of the International Sustainable Logistics Exhibition, inaugurated in 2018: the second edition, scheduled for March of this year, with a program rich in content and leading companies adhering to the show, was first of all postponed, and then canceled due to the Coronavirus emergency.
Now it’s time to restart: we have developed a project that is already looking at the next edition in 2022, scheduled for 23-25 March, and the transformations that are going through the sector.
THE THEMES: FROM INTERMODAL TRANSPORT TO SUSTAINABLE LOGISTICS
The event on November 12, which combines conferences and seminars with a large exhibition area with the presence of about 100 companies, will be an opportunity to focus on some issues that the sector faces.
Logistics, despite heavy losses in traffic volumes, never stopped during the lockdown and thus demonstrated its strategic role for the economy and social stability.
During the morning we will take stock, with industry leaders and representatives of institutions, on the new scenarios, investments and policies for overcoming the crisis also in light of the simplifications and financial instruments of the New Green Deal, the new “green pact ”Of the European Union, and the Next Generation EU. A day of intense work for all the components of logistics and business with the theme of intermodal transport as the focus, a decisive junction for efficient and sustainable logistics. In the afternoon, in collaboration with Assologistica, Interporto Padova and SOS-Logisitca, the presentation of the Padua Charter is scheduled, a detailed document with concrete commitments and binding requests for sustainable logistics, signed by 13 national associations representing companies in the sector. Technical seminars on specific topics complete the calendar of events.
The appointment is accompanied – the next day – by the online event GLE digital Expo: companies in the sector will be able to experiment with new ways of matching on a virtual platform: an opportunity to explore the potential of the new physical-virtual format designed by Fiera di Padova for all B2B events.
