MD Luca Veronesi: “From today the real challenge starts: innovation, training, safety and the continuous search for quality will be at the center of BARNEXT – Food, Beverage & Future”
The Special Edition of TecnoBar & Food came to a successful conclusion, the exhibition dedicated to the catering sector, which, after 16 editions, will return next year with a completely new format. The new format, presented at the Special Edition of TecnoBar & Food, will be called “BARNEXT – Food, Beverage & Future” and will be held on April 12/13 2021: an innovative showcase of specialized proposals, with bars as the key player, aims to be the reference point for the relaunch of a sector that in the North-East of Italy alone has a turnover of almost 5 billion euros.
More than positive results, therefore, for the event hosted from October 12/13, considering the particularity of the moment: not a traditional fair, but an invitation-only event where operators were immersed in training ideas, market analyzes and meeting opportunities, with particular reference to bars and fast food restaurants, severely affected by the Covid-19 emergency.
“Definitely a positive balance – said the general manager of the Padua Fair, Luca Veronesi – which responded to our expectations, first of all that of consolidating some important partnerships in view of the organization of BARNEXT in 2021″. The reference to partnerships clearly identified the intervention at TecnoBar & Food Special Edition by AIBES, which organized a national competition, the Veneto Region with the Cocktail & Cheese event and APPE and FIPE which awarded the best restaurants in Veneto as part of “The Land of Venice – Food Excellence 2020 “. The province of Padua, the municipality of Padua, the Padua Chamber of Commerce, Federalberghi Veneto and the Italian Chefs Federation have also embraced the new project.
The national president of AIBES, Angelo Donnaloia, also expressed his satisfaction. “It was a good event, a success. Furthermore, we organized a top level show in full compliance with the anti COVID-19 rules, mainly due to the collaboration and active and responsible participation of every single person. As far as we are concerned, the goals we set ourselves have been achieved. This was a rehearsal for next year, when we will bring an even more exciting scenography to the stage ».
“From today – concludes Luca Veronesi – the real challenge starts: we have six months of hard work ahead of us to organize the April event: innovation, training, safety and continuous search for quality will be at the center of BARNEXT, a project that also aims to focus attention on one of the most important sectors of our economy, both from the point of view of turnover and employment ».
