“A no-frills tailor-made connection between supply and demand, both of the highest level”. According to Luca Veronesi, Managing Director of Fiera di Padova, this is the real key to the success of the Africa ArchitecTour. The event that marked the restart for Fiera di Padova closed on Friday, July 2, with the general satisfaction of all participants.
“Trade fairs – explains Veronesi – are and will remain indispensable, but it is necessary to think of new models: two convictions that we have repeated almost as a mantra during these months of forced stop and that have given us the courage to experiment, trying to put aside the classic trade fair vanity metrics and organizing an event with a limited number of exhibitors and visitors and 1,920 appointments managed through a special platform”. An important experience that, says the CEO, “makes us confident for the future”.
Positive feedback from the exhibitors – over 60 companies of excellence in furniture, design and interior finishes – who appreciated the novelty of the formula designed to maximize the effectiveness of contacts, great satisfaction also from the 70 buyers present including architects, contractors and distributors from 12 different countries: Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Sudan and Tunisia.
The test was also fully passed with regards to security management: the smooth running of the two-day event was guaranteed by the strict application of the AEFI protocol, approved by the Technical Scientific Committee for the holding of trade fairs in presence.
The event was born from listening to market operators and was organized by Fiera di Padova with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ICE – Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian companies, by the Veneto Region within the Promotional Program shared with the Chambers of Commerce of Venice Rovigo and Treviso Belluno, in collaboration with Venicepromex – Agency for internationalization, the Chamber of Commerce of Verona and the Special Agency of the Chamber of Commerce of Vicenza, Made in Vicenza. Valuable contribution of the company Médinit Srl with its network of relations in the African continent.
